ABOUT
Sumit is an upper airway surgeon specialising in surgery for nasal blockage, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. He is a member of the International Surgical Sleep Society. He performs upper airway operations for obstruction at the level of the nose, palate, tonsils and tongue.

He has trained in Otolaryngology and Head-neck Surgery in New Zealand and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) . He has also done advanced Fellowships in ENT and Head-neck Surgery in the UK and New Zealand and is one of the few ENT surgeons in the country with advanced training in Robotic Head-neck Surgery.

Sumit is a consultant surgeon at Auckland City Hospital and member of the Regional Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Team there. He is also a member of the Royal College Training Education and Accreditation Committee, which coordinates surgical training of Otolaryngologists in New Zealand.

Travel, photography, family and his motorbike keep him occupied outside of work.
